Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Prosthetist to join our team at Mercy Hospital in Cork. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious professional to take the next step in their career. In this pivotal role, you will represent OPCARE, a member of the AM Healthcare Group, in a strategic partnership with the National Rehabilitation Hospital, working closely within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) environment to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Patient Care: Provide expert prosthetic care to a diverse patient population, ensuring the highest standards of clinical service.
* Clinical Leadership: Lead and mentor junior prosthetists and other clinical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
* Collaboration: Work collaboratively within an MDT to develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans.
* Innovation: Stay at the forefront of prosthetic technology, with a particular emphasis on 3D printing, implementing new techniques and materials to improve patient outcomes.
* Partnership: Act as a key representative of OPCARE in our strategic alliance with the National Rehabilitation Hospital, helping to shape the future of prosthetic care in Cork.
The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and busy team, and be supported with local, regional, and national training to develop their clinical skills to support the service. We aim to deliver a first-class service for users whilst applying the most advanced and exciting clinical and technical solutions available to patients.
Minimum Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in prosthetics.
* Strong clinical skills with a proven track record in delivering high-quality patient care.
* Experience working in an MDT environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and patient care.
Desirable:
* Interest and experience in 3D printing technologies as OPCARE is at the forefront of this innovation in prosthetics.
* Previous experience working solo, demonstrating autonomy and decision-making capabilities.
* Familiarity with the latest prosthetic technologies and materials.
* Experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
