Job DescriptionAbout this job:For our Dublin office we are seeking a Business Analyst with actuarial knowledge to join our IT Underwriting Non Life Unit, which is part of the Group IT department and responsible for all applications in the underwriting area (Pricing & Modelling, Capacity & Exposure Management, Portfolio Management & Optimization).In this role you will support the development of our applications in the Pricing area, from the business requirements and application specifications to the definition of the testing strategy, and last but not least user's support.
This position includes the analysis of the requirements and specification design.Reporting to the Head of Underwriting Non-Life Applications your responsibilities will include:Business Process Analysis & Design, in cooperation with the Business Experts:Study information needs, system flows, data usage and business processesIdentify areas for improvement in processes and develop solutionsDefine the business rulesSolution design and specifications:Specify solutions that meet business needs and requirementsAnalyze data to identify insights that can inform business decisionsAssist the development team in planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure successful delivery of solutionsCreate detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutionsSolution Testing and Support:Defining and executing tests in collaboration with usersConduct software quality assurance before business testingPlan, coordinate, and provide support for test activities, including user support during acceptance testsProducing the required documentationQualificationsAbout you:At least 5 years experience analysing business processes in Financial ServicesStrong analytical skills and highly motivated to understand our business processesExcellent communication and language skills in English (proficient verbal and in writing)Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g. Excel, SQL)Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or ScrumAbility to work effectively within diverse teams and stakeholdersDriven towards finding solutions and being responsiveA university degree or equivalent in IT/Computer ScienceExperience in the insurance/reinsurance industry is a plusActuarial knowledge will be a strong advantageWhat can we offer you: An international environment, where you will work in a experienced team based in Dublin, Paris, Stamford and Zurich, and can learn from reinsurance specialists (Pricing Actuaries, Cat Researchers and Underwriters).
