Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints to assemble mechanical equipment and machinery.
* Perform routine maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
* Conduct quality inspections to verify compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
* Collaborate with engineers and other team members to complete projects within deadlines.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs completed.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and diagrams.
* Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in assembling and repairing machinery.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
* Relevant vocational training or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with welding, machining, or fabrication techniques.
* Familiarity with conveyors and/or stainless steel fabrication
* Previous experience in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing sector.
