Technical Procurement Specialist
Permanent position in Dublin North, requiring 3-5 years of prior experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Combining technical skills with commercial and supply chain expertise
* Understanding supplier manufacturing technologies, processes, controls, and industry standards, particularly in metal fabrication, metal machining, plastic molding, PCBA, cables, optics, fluidics, etc.
* Best practices in Engineering Change management
* Influencing supplier selection decisions at a Site and Strategic Procurement level
* Negotiation and influencing skills with suppliers
* Project management skills, including initiating and leading supplier optimization projects on a cross-functional and cross-site basis
* Problem solving, planning, and analytical skills to analyze large amounts of data for decision making
* Excellent oral communication, business writing, and presentation skills
* Self-direction, goal orientation, and prioritization in an Agile environment
* Team player building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
Primary Tasks:
1. Support NPI and EC processes
2. Manage RfQ & Supplier Selection
3. Supplier Tooling management
4. Manage Part Transfers – to existing & new suppliers
5. Bring supplier innovation and new suppliers to the company
6. Initiate and implement productivity & supplier performance improvements
Educational Requirements:
Engineering qualification and experience, preferably in manufacturing engineering. Understanding of manufacturing processes and components, including metals, plastics, electronics, and hydraulics.
