It currently has a team of 8 people and is involved in advising and transacting on some of the largest office, retail, logistics and PRS assets and portfolios in Ireland.
The Role:
An opportunity exists for a full time Analyst to join the Savills Investment team, based at the firm's Head Office in Molesworth Street, Dublin 2. The team provides fully integrated financial advice and transaction execution services across all sectors nationwide.
Equity advisory services include buy and sell-side M&A, fundraising and joint-venture structuring, recapitalisations and strategic advice for corporate real estate transactions.
The team has advised on over €2.5 bn of real estate transactions in the past three years alone, with a focus on the office, logistics, retail, PRS and student sectors.
The role offers an opportunity for a successful candidate to join a highly regarded real estate advisory and transactional business that is uniquely positioned in its ability to provide sophisticated equity advisory services, alongside exceptional real estate consultancy and capital markets advice. The result is a varied and intellectually stimulating role, working with best-in-class operators, investment managers and investors to provide differentiated, best-in-class advice to clients.
Successful candidates will be inquisitive and self-motivated, with a strong commercial interest in real estate capital markets and a desire to work across and learn about a variety of new sectors, structures and geographies. Strong attention to detail is a must, as is proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and a strong foundation in one or more of DCF valuation, financial modelling and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the senior team in winning and executing a broad range of Irish real estate instructions.
2. Conduct financial analysis and prepare bespoke financial models for large scale projects, real estate backed operating businesses and development joint ventures.
3. Prepare transaction deliverables, including detailed financial analysis, corporate summaries, pitches, proposals and ad-hoc investor reports.
4. Conduct comprehensive and in-depth research assignments into a broad range of traditional and alternative real estate sectors.
5. Take responsibility for project management and administration, whilst supporting senior members of the team in delivering exceptional client service.
6. Contribute to improving internal processes to drive efficiencies and improve client service.
7. Be presentable and considered in all interactions (with both colleagues and clients alike) and actively develop internal and external relationships appropriate to your level.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
1. A highly self-motivated and driven individual with a genuine interest in real estate and a strong desire to develop a long-term career in real estate corporate finance.
2. Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modelling software. Experience with real estate modelling software is a plus.
3. Strong analytical skills - both quantitative and qualitative - with a solid understanding of real estate, valuation methodologies, financial modelling and a desire to continue learning in all areas.
4. Organised, diligent and hardworking, with an ability to exhibit a high level of attention to detail.
5. Team player, capable of planning ahead and managing time effectively in an environment with high workflow and tight deadlines.
6. Good verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to quickly build rapport, deliver outstanding client service and foster long-standing relationships.
8. Ideally a Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or a similar financial qualification.
9. Strong academic performance, with a grade of 2.1 or better.
10. Demonstrable experience in real estate investment, corporate finance, private equity or investment banking desired.
