Job Title: REHABILITATION PSYCHOLOGIST
We are an independent voluntary organisation providing services and support for people with disabilities and their families.
Job Purpose:
* The role involves developing and implementing psychological interventions that meet individual service-users' needs by providing holistic assessment and direct support and guidance to service-users and staff alike.
Minimum Education & Experience required:
* A Master's and/or Doctorate level professional qualification in Psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland or British Psychological Society is required.
* Chartered membership (or eligible for) with the Psychological Society of Ireland or Chartered membership (or eligible for) of the British Psychological Society is also required.
* At least 3 years work experience in the field of Learning Disability/Autism/Mental Health/Physical or Sensory Disability is necessary.
* An understanding of the Recovery Approach and of Person Centred Planning would be an advantage.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
* Support students/service users and the staff that support them to identify personal goals and learning, social, emotional, cognitive needs.
* Undertake appropriate psychological assessments using data from psychological tests, self-report measures, direct and indirect observations and interviews with students/service users and other stakeholders where appropriate.
* Design and implement high-quality, formulation-driven psychological interventions, therapies and supports based on appropriate conceptual frameworks, established evidence-based practice and Rehab Groups commitment to the principles of recovery, co-production, equality, diversity, dignity and respect.
* Provide support, regular consultation and guidance to staff to help them deliver high-quality support in line with best practice.
