Summary:
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Accountant to join our Finance Team in Ballina for a 3-year contract. This role is suitable for candidates that wish to undergo a training contract to complete professional accounting qualifications. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in financial operations, with a primary focus on Accounts Receivable (AR). The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the company's accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, payment collection, and reconciliation of accounts. The role will also gain exposure to a broad range of accounting tasks. Comprehensive training and support will be provided to facilitate professional development and career growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Credit Management and Control (Core Focus)
o Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
o Reconcile AR ledgers to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
o Maintain records of client transactions and provide AR-related reports.
o Monitoring of blocked orders.
o Running credit check reports on new and existing customers.
o Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve billing discrepancies.
2. Banking and Intercompany (Core Focus)
o Process and record incoming payments accurately.
o Management of daily banking.
o Preparation of Bank Reconciliation.
o Preparation and reconciliation of monthly intercompany charges.
o Preparation of cashflow reports.
3. Additional Accounting/Finance functions
o Financial month-end close – Support the preparation of periodic results in accordance with US GAAP (provisions, aged reporting, etc.).
o Preparation of monthly reports and KPI’s to deadline.
o Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Work Experience Requirements
* 0-2 years Experience.
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Desirable – multinational experience.
Education Requirements
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (Level 8)
* Desire to pursue professional accountancy exams (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge
* Understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
* Effective communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience
* Previous internship or work experience in accounting is desirable.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is desirable.
