In this vital role you will provide pragmatic, timely, and commercially focused legal support across various aspects of Amgen's business. Supporting Amgen Ireland's Counsel and Company Secretary on legal matters relating to all aspects of Amgen Irish's operations. Advising on corporate governance and company secretarial matters. Advising on the legal aspects of intergroup restructurings. Working closely with internal stakeholders (eg, tax, finance) to provide efficient and high-quality legal advice on projects impacting the business. Negotiation, drafting and review of commercial contracts with Amgen's suppliers as well as other legal documents. Keeping informed of legal and compliance developments and advising of any proposed legislative changes that may impact Amgen's Irish operations. Supporting the wider business from a legal perspective on property, construction, commercial contracts, employment law, regulatory compliance matters and with general legal advice What we expect from you: We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Associate Counsel professional we seek is a agile individual with these qualifications. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree Irish qualified solicitor or barrister, ideally with proven experience (although all relevant applications will be considered). A positive attitude, strong commitment to ethical conduct, collaboration and creativity, results-orientation, awareness of cultural diversity Must have demonstrable commercial acumen and the ability to assume an increasingly demanding portfolio of work in time. Preferred Qualifications: Experience/knowledge of the life sciences / pharmaceutical industry Previous in-house experience Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to balance ideal legal outcomes with the reality of commercial goals Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities Ability to work independently and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
