Test Manager (Contract)
Role Overview:
I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Contract Test Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality testing solutions for complex IT projects.
This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in testing and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-End Test Management: Oversee all phases of testing for IT projects, ensuring seamless delivery and alignment with project goals.
* Strategy & Risk Management: Develop and maintain test strategies, schedules, and proactively manage risks.
* Effort & Approach Planning: Design test plans that align with policies and meet quality gates.
* Team Coordination: Lead junior and senior testers across multiple sprint teams and workstreams, including offshore resources.
* Collaborative Leadership: Partner with client teams to coordinate test phases and align activities with client-led initiatives.
* UAT & Defect Oversight: Manage user acceptance testing, defect root cause analysis, and implement prevention strategies.
* Progress Monitoring: Track and report test performance across Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
* Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and quality metrics.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project managers to address schedules, risks, roadblocks, and escalations.
* Quality Assurance: Enforce quality gates, deliver comprehensive test closure reports, and champion QA improvements.
Requirements:
* Experience: 10+ years in software testing, including 5+ years in a leadership role as a Test Manager.
* Proven expertise in managing multi-application solutions across diverse teams.
* Skills: Strong organizational and decision-making skills with sharp attention to detail. Advanced knowledge of testing methodologies, including automation and testing standards. Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools.
* Leadership & Collaboration: Inspiring leadership with the ability to motivate teams and drive accountability. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
* Communication: Clear, concise, and confident in conveying progress, risks, and solutions to stakeholders.
