Assistant Store Manager Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team in Ferbane, Offaly. This role is ideal for individuals looking to progress to a store management position within 12 months.
Main Responsibilities:
* Ensure the efficient operation of the store, providing excellent customer service and a fresh food offering in a clean and safe environment at all times.
Duties:
1. Set and achieve sales targets with the team, focusing on gross profit margin, net margin, waste, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) as agreed with the Store Manager.
2. Implement planograms correctly, ensuring the correct product range is available in-store.
3. Support the Store Manager in developing and training the team, while maintaining a smooth store operation.
4. Familiarize yourself with achieving margins across all departments.
5. Engage with new initiatives and adapt to innovative ways of working.
Requirements:
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a management position.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
* Experience managing cash and tills.
* Excellent delegation skills.
* Understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets.
