Senior Lead Scheduler - PMO

We are now seeking a Senior Lead Scheduler to join our Project Management Office (PMO).
As a Senior Lead Scheduler, you will support the Head of PMO and the Network Delivery Programme Manager in guiding a team of skilled scheduling and project management staff to deliver accurate and timely reporting of the Total Transmission Outage Plan.
You will be responsible for leading all revised progress and reporting activities for the Network Delivery Programme towards the overall project plan with a focus on key EirGrid strategic projects and collaborating with all delivery teams within the Power System Operations office to ensure alignment and compliance with project management best practice.
You will also be responsible for maintaining the Network Delivery Programme's schedule database in real-time by receiving and validating information from the MSPOL schedules and updating the programme managers and delivery teams on any date changes.
You will work closely with the Power System Operations Leadership Team, Cluster Managers and Project Managers to ensure the delivery of the primary projects and strategic programmes in line with good project management practices.
The Team
The Power System Operations office is comprised of highly experienced professionals with backgrounds in engineering and business/industry.
The Project Management Office is responsible for four main roles; 1. Governance, 2. Risk and Compliance Management, 3. Investment Asset Reporting and 4. Programme Review. The team develops policies and standards that are used to facilitate large-scale transmission planning, analysis and compliance with regulations, risk management and CapEx monitoring.
The team also prepares reports on schedule and financial information and delivers results and intelligence to stakeholders including government departments such as the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications and the Commission for Regulation of Utilities.
Requirements
* Certification to degree level or equivalent certification, with minimum 6+ years relevant post-qualification experience.
* Power system industry expertise or other regulated utility experience is preferred.
* Experience developing solutions or new ways of doing things with good analytical and problem-solving ability.
* Experience planning and organising work activities for self and others within a cross-functional team such as report writing and audit preparations to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.
* Ability to work collaboratively and transparently with others across the business and externally to deliver outcomes in accordance with strategic objectives.
* Experience of high voltage transmission at 110/220/400 kV including an awareness of substations, overhead lines and power cables would be an advantage.
* Ability to manage complex information requirements from the Delivery Teams to allow effective management of the Capital Programme.
