Reports to: Front Office Manager
Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Head Receptionist to join our clients team, a 4-star hotel in Wicklow. You will be overseeing the daily operations of the Front Office, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for guests, managing the reception team, and supporting the Front Office Manager in daily hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise the Front Office team, ensuring outstanding customer service at all times.
* Oversee the check-in and check-out processes, ensuring smooth, accurate, and efficient procedures.
* Respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
* Ensure all reservations and billing procedures are handled accurately.
* Provide training and support to the reception team.
* Assist in creating staff schedules, ensuring the front desk is adequately staffed at all times.
* Monitor front desk operations, ensuring adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
* Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
* Assist the Front Office Manager with administrative tasks and reporting.
* Ensure health, safety, and security protocols are consistently followed within the department.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a similar environment.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software is a plus.
* A proactive, guest-focused approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (Monday to Sunday).
* Positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
