Here in Buttimer Engineering, we have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Estimator to join our expanding team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our project development and implementation process. You will work closely with the Project Manager as well as a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to deliver projects.
The Role
1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, considering labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
2. Involved in full tender process from start to end with responsibility for the preparation, submission and management of all electrical tenders.
3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
4. Review and assess tender documents, contracts and specifications and contribute to tender risk and opportunity registers.
5. Track and manage changes in project scope and adjust estimates accordingly.
6. Maintain and update estimating software and databases.
7. Attend meetings both internally and externally where required.
The Person
1. You are qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.
2. You should have 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role. You should also have good understanding of industry best practices and technologies.
3. You show excellent problem-solving skills and high numerical skills.
4. You should have excellent attention to detail, planning and organisation skills.
5. You should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
6. You should be a strong team player but also able to work independently.
