We’re working with a leading tier 1 main contractor in their search for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor based in Limerick.
You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment while fostering a culture of proactive safety management.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct audits and inspections of workplaces as directed by the BU HSE Manager
* Attend sites following accidents or incidents, assist with investigations, or lead investigations in the absence of the Project Director or HSE Manager
* Support the HSE Manager in preparing Health and Safety reports for the BU MD
* Alert the HSE Manager of any potential periods of inadequate Health and Safety coverage
* Assist tender and prequalification teams with Health and Safety advice and practical solutions as needed
* Participate in start-up meetings with your line manager and site teams
* Attend supply chain meetings when requested
* Deliver appropriate Health and Safety training to ensure compliance and promote safety awareness
Requirements:
* IOSH/NEBOSH qualification preferred, but not mandatory
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry
* At least 3 years of experience as a Health and Safety professional
* Experience with temporary works
* Experience as an internal auditor
* Strong organizational skills, time management abilities, and performance management experience
