Description
You will collaborate with diverse teams, including software engineering, international QA centers, translators, and project managers, to ensure seamless delivery of Apple's software products worldwide.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Enhancing and localizing the user interface and underlying functionality of Apple's applications and platforms.
* Analyzing international functionality issues and making changes to application and OS source code.
* Cross-functional collaboration with other engineering teams, QA, and project management teams throughout Apple.
* Developing and maintaining software tools that facilitate localization and internationalization processes.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you'll need:
* Proficiency in Objective-C or Swift programming languages.
* Familiarity with Apple's development APIs (UIKit, Cocoa, Foundation).
* Experience building software for Apple's platforms (watchOS, tvOS, iOS, macOS).
* Experience with software testing and version control.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
* A working knowledge of UNIX commands.
* Strong analytics and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience with various languages and cultures.
* Experience in software localization/internationalization.
* A working knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl).
* Skills in reading, writing, and speaking languages other than English.
* Knowledge of Computational/Corpus Linguistics.
* Experience with international text issues such as right-to-left layout and Unicode.
* Strong interest in Apple and its international users.
