Location: Remote - working US timezone, but based outside of the US

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Trader to join our Arbitrage team, covering the US timezone to ensure 24/7 trading across the organization.
This is an exciting role as a key contributor to the trading desk, reporting directly to one of the company’s senior traders. The role will provide exposure to many areas of the business, spanning everything within front, middle and back-office functions. This Trader will focus on many aspects of the desk, from analysis, to optimization, day to day management and beyond. The right candidate will aspire to develop into a Senior Trader and manage his/her own book.
This Trader must be willing and able to cover the US timezone, but will work remotely from either the Americas (excluding US), the UK or Europe.
What you’ll do
* Liaise with our key exchange counterparts on margin requirements, coin borrows, trade breaks, market making requirements.
* Support other internal and external clients’ execution needs to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Work closely with our trading, middle office and finance teams to ensure trades are booked timely and correctly, reconciled between our front and back office systems.
* Assist in the research and development of new trading strategies.
* Assist the trading desk with quantitative analytical work to support the improvement of our existing trading strategies.
* Participate in idea generation, trading strategy formulation, back-testing and implementation.
* Monitor and analyse the operation of live trading programs.
* Investigate crypto-currency market related products, collect, organise and analyse the best solutions to match the requirements of our various trading strategies.
What you’ll bring
* Ability and willingness to work North American hours, but be based in the Americas (excluding the US), UK or Europe.
* A high degree of enthusiasm and interest in working within the cryptocurrency industry.
* Cryptocurrency, high frequency trading and/or derivatives market experience is preferred.
* Extensive experience using Python/C++ is sought, in combination with a variety of other data technologies including Excel.
* Knowledge and experience in mathematical modelling of big data, data mining and machine learning is a plus.
