We are currently seeking an Maintenance Technician (3+ years' experience) to work on leading-edge automation projects, predominantly in the Energy, Life Science and Food & Beverage sectors.
A background in GMP and experience is essential.
This role is offered as a full-time contract position.
The role will operate on a shift schedule as it is based in a Life Science manufacturing plant in Cork.
Responsibilities Candidate will work independently to locate and diagnose failure, replace defective components and perform basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals and verbal and/or written instructions.
Respond to emergency callouts to critical customer sites.
Assisting in the production of maintenance plans & procedures for Packaging Production Line systems.
You will work on assignments that range from semi-routine to moderately complex in nature where independent action and initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations.
Organising and executing preventative and routine maintenance checks of equipment at customer premises in line with agreed maintenance contracts.
Candidate will use a variety of hand, power and test tools and equipment.
Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs and report on issues, performing root cause analysis, implementing repairs & improvements in consultation with customers.
Candidate must comply with all safety regulations and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Qualifications Level 6 Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline, or National Craft Certificate with suitable experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience in similar role.
Experience troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams etc.
A high level of computer proficiency is required- a working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
Direct experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) is essential.
Ability to work independently and take initiative when completing tasks.
