Location: Loughrea, Co Galway
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Financial Accountant will oversee the company's day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, month-end close processes, and compliance with accounting standards. The role requires a detail-oriented individual.
* Ensure accurate and timely reporting of key financial information including financial analysis, projections, budgets, and variances (weekly and monthly).
* Assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts.
* Prepare, analyze, and post journals at month end.
* Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations at month end.
* Ensure compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.
* Enhance existing processes and develop new ones to ensure the most efficient completion of duties.
* Track KPIs across the business.
* Responsible for budgeting and cash forecasting.
* Develop a close working relationship with the wider finance team to provide support as needed.
* Coordinate statutory audits.
* Oversee various finance team members.
Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* 1-2 years relevant post-qualification experience.
* Proven experience of managing a finance team and driving best practices.
* Proven experience in managing compliance with Internal Control systems and IFRS.
* Ability to prioritize work in a fast-moving environment.
* SAP/Sage/NAV or other major ERP Systems experience is desirable.
