Newly Qualified Accountant A renowned global engineering solutions provider is seeking a newly or recently qualified accountant to bolster its finance function under the guidance of the Group Financial Controller. This position involves collaborating with a sizeable finance team and offers substantial exposure to various facets of accounting and reporting. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Oversight Oversee routine financial transactions, maintain accurate general ledger reconciliations, and track cash flow. Ensure strict adherence to relevant accounting principles and standards. 2. Financial Analysis Examine and interpret financial metricssuch as overheadsto steer management decisions. Deliver insightful financial guidance to leadership teams. 3. Tax & Regulatory Compliance Compile and submit precise tax filings (e.g., VAT) and other mandatory documentation across multiple jurisdictions. Stay current with evolving legislation to reduce risk and support compliance. 4. Financial Reporting Contribute to the creation of statutory accounts, coordinate external and internal audits, and generate essential financial reports. Communicate findings to both internal stakeholders and external partners. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with departments like Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to deliver robust financial support and counsel. Work closely with both internal colleagues and external contacts to facilitate effective decision-making processes.
