CREGG are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Technician to join a thriving team in Galway. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment supporting med tech and other advanced sectors. The role will involve close collaboration with the operations team, ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and GMP standards.
2. Manage non-conforming product processes and documentation for production and supplier materials.
3. Conduct defect analysis through investigation reports (ICAR, SCAR, CCAR).
4. Engage directly with customers to address quality concerns and provide solutions.
5. Resolve non-conformance issues via the Corrective Action System with Quality Manager approval.
6. Analyse weekly quality reports from Final QA areas and generate reports for customers and suppliers as needed.
7. Conduct internal and supplier audits to maintain and improve quality standards.
8. Collaborate with quality inspectors to identify and segregate non-conforming products/materials.
9. Support document control processes, including managing drawings and specifications.
10. Assist in the implementation of the Q Pulse software system.
11. Update key quality documents, including manuals, procedures, and policies, through the ECO process.
12. Lead the PCN process with relevant teams and departments.
13. Attend internal and customer meetings to provide quality support and updates.
14. Assist in driving continuous improvement initiatives across the quality function.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
1. Level 6 or higher qualification in Science or Engineering disciplines.
2. Strong decision-making abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
4. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
6. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
7. Exceptional attention to detail.
8. Experience in a med tech or manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.
