Job Description:
Our client is a growing, multidisciplinary company that provides Environmental Consultancy services across a range of sectors including Renewable Energy, Food & Drink, and Construction.
The company is seeking an experienced Principal Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) & Environmental Planning Consultant to lead and manage complex projects in a hybrid working model, with opportunities for growth and leadership development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for various large-scale projects.
* Oversee the preparation and submission of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs).
* Lead planning applications and conduct pre-application consultations with local authorities.
* Collaborate with clients, authorities, and internal teams to ensure project delivery within budget and time constraints.
* Supervise and mentor a small internal EIA team and external subcontractors.
* Ensure compliance with Irish environmental and planning legislation.
* Manage relationships with key stakeholders in renewable energy, construction, and food & drink industries.
* Identify project challenges, provide solutions, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
* Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.
* Ensure projects align with company objectives, core values, and financial targets.
Requirements:
* A third-level qualification (Degree/Masters) in environmental science or a related discipline.
* A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in environmental planning and EIA management.
* Proven experience in Irish planning legislation and EIAR report writing.
* Strong ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and oversee multiple projects concurrently.
* Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
