Traction Supermarket Manager - Mayo
The primary objective of this role is to ensure the store's fresh food departments operate efficiently and effectively, providing customers with exceptional customer service and fresh food offerings at all times.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* At least 2 years' experience in a Fresh Food Department
* 1 year of experience in a Supervisor/Manager role
* Excellent communication skills
* Effective delegation skills
* An understanding of achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets
* A passion for fresh food
Main Responsibilities:
* To oversee and ensure the smooth operation of the fresh departments by prioritizing and delegating tasks appropriately
* To set, monitor, and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste, and other KPIs as agreed upon with the Store Manager
* To control stocktaking and overheads as per the fresh budget
* To foster good working relationships among the team
* To hold regular fresh food meetings and communicate relevant details and results to the team
* To manage employee performance, providing regular feedback, recognition, and encouragement
* To handle customer queries efficiently, professionally, and consistently with store policy
* To manage employee rostering and annual leave for the fresh departments
* To maintain the highest standard of merchandising and presentation of the fresh department at all times, adhering to relevant store planograms and guidelines
