Role: Mechanical Project Engineer
Location: Cork/Denmark
Report to: Project Manager
Responsibilities
1. Must have full understanding of complete MSL scope of work.
2. Responsible for / manage the MSL team of area engineers, who manage specific construction areas on the project.
3. Supporting Area Engineers as required, and providing any necessary technical back up, to resolve engineering queries in the field.
4. Work with MSL Construction Manager to monitor the construction schedule.
5. Prioritising off-site pipe and support fabrication to follow construction schedule.
6. Onsite co-ordination between Mechanical and other Disciplines.
7. Weekly Progress Reporting to client and MSL Project Manager (MSL template), co-ordinating of Area Engineers progress reporting per area to support this.
8. Weekly Variation reporting (Gathering this info from the area engineers to give it to MSL QS / Cost Engineer).
9. Monitor MSL Scope of Work, and potential out-of-scope work on site.
10. Ensure MSL supply equipment is ordered as required.
11. Onsite co-ordination between Consultant / PSCS / CMT and Contractor.
12. Co-ordination of project activity in conjunction with the offsite fabrication team.
13. Attend weekly progress meetings.
14. Safety audits and monitoring safety performance on site.
15. Working with MSL QA Lead to ensure piping systems are handed over to client on schedule.
16. Excellent knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs is essential.
Requirements
1. Minimum 5 years Mechanical Experience with at least 2 years in a lead role.
2. Relevant engineering degree.
3. Hold excellent technical knowledge of mechanical systems and products.
4. Excellent communication and reporting skills.
