INTERNAL COMPETITION
Senior Physiotherapist in Sports & Exercise
Permanent/Temporary, Full-time/Part-time
Applications are invited for the above post from suitably qualified persons.
The candidate must, on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office, possess:
1. B.Sc./master’s degree in Physiotherapy approved by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
2. Membership of, or eligibility for membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) and CORU registered at the time of application.
3. A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience with at least 1 year in the area of Sports Therapy and Fitness Training for adults/children with acquired brain injury and/or spinal cord injury. Experience with Paediatrics or Prosthetics would be desirable.
4. Evidence of post graduate clinical education in the area of Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), Brain Injury or a related area is desirable. e.g. Advanced 5 day Incomplete Spinal Course and/or Bobath Introductory Modules.
5. Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Evidence of continuing professional development.
