Role: Buying Administrator Location: Co. Clare/Hybrid Contract: Fixed Term (maternity cover), 3-4 days per week, rostered Monday to Friday. Benefits: Competitive hourly rate, 20% retail discount, training & development.About You: The Role of the Buying Administrator is to assist in achieving the budgeted sales and margin goals that are set out by company by ensuring that the right stock, is in the right location, at the right time, in the right quantities at the right price. The Buying Administrator will report to the Head of Merchandising and will work closely with the Retail Operations Manager & Store Managers.
This role currently involves supporting our 3 stores and soon to launch Website.
You will also: Administration:Maintenance of our Product and Supplier databases, which includes the creation of new suppliers & Sku codes on our IT system.
This also includes updating prices, supplier discount terms, discontinuing Skus etc.Ensuring that all Skus are barcoded.Providing support to all functions within the Banner Retail and dealing with calls, queries and e-mails in a timely and efficient manner.Ensuring that promotions and price reductions are implemented accurately and in the required time frames for all stores and the Website.Ensuring that images are sourced for all products and that Ampliance is updated.Follow through on admin actions created from buyer's store visits. Replenishment: The key responsibility for the Buying Administrator is to ensure the accurate & timely replenishment of stock for all locations within Banner Retail based on the order replenishment schedule This also includes the daily distribution of stock from warehouse Ensuring that deliveries are followed up until received and identifying production and supply difficulties and dealing with any problems or delays as they arise. Stock Management:Delivering on Availability KPIs as set out by the business.
As a Buying Administrator you must have an understanding of the product mix in our stores and the different demand required.
Weekly review of sales figures and taking appropriate action as required.To achieve a stock holding in line with company budgets and manage stock demands in line with business requirements.Analysing the min max levels set down for suppliers and changing these based on sales, and transferring stock as needed.
Working closely with the Buying teams, Store Managers, Retail Operations & Merchandising to accurately forecast trends, stock levels and monitor performance.Preparing and compiling supplier reports for analysis.Flagging slow sellers to the Buyers to ensure action is taken to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary.Creating sale packs, to include all clearance lines.Effectively managing discontinued items out of the business to ensure minimal stock levels. Relationships Maintain strong relationships with the Head of Merchandising, Buying Administration Manager & Buying Team, Retail Operations Manager, Store Managers & Store Colleagues.
Developing good relationships with all stores and Website to improve collaboration to ensure appropriate stocks are being received.
Develop and preserve strong relationships with suppliers, communicating regularly on the requirements of the company. Planning Support the Head of Merchandising, Assistant Merchandiser and the Buyers in budget planning for the seasons ahead Co-ordinate with all departments and monitor the delivery of stock to new store openings as they occur Communicating price changes, product information and promotional messages to all stores are received across the Group Any other duties assigned by your manager.
