Financial Controller & Reporting Manager
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Financial Controller & Reporting Manager on an interim 15-month contract, with potential for permanency.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Lead, supporting the implementation of our strategy and managing financial and accounting functions across the business. They will provide timely insights to inform both operational and strategic decision-making.
This role is ideal for a commercially focused professional with strong reporting expertise, a proactive approach, ambition, and exceptional financial acumen.

Key Responsibilities:
* Consolidation of Financial Statements: Oversee the consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely delivery of reports.
* Financial Reporting Function: Lead and manage the financial reporting function, including statutory reporting, Board-level management reporting, treasury operations, compliance coordination, and financial control.
* Collaboration with Senior Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to support business growth, enhance financial processes, and improve overall performance, stepping in for the Finance Lead when required.
* Finance Reports: Prepare finance reports for key meetings and committees.
* Due Diligence Processes: Manage critical deliverables during due diligence processes related to mergers and acquisitions.
* Expansion into New Markets: Contribute to expansion into new markets by building processes and developing relationships.
* Financial Process Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance financial processes, improving team efficiency and output quality.
* Financial Operations: Oversee financial operations, including the external audit process across multiple jurisdictions.
Requirements:
* Accounting Qualification: Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA) with approximately 8+ years of post-qualification experience.
* Consolidation Experience: Experience managing the consolidation of financial statements across group entities.
* Financial Presentation: Proven ability to effectively present financial results and insights to senior leadership or Board members.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong technical proficiency, particularly with Excel and financial analysis tools.
* Analytical Skills: Highly analytical with a strategic mindset, coupled with excellent attention to detail.
* Team Management: Previous experience managing and mentoring team members is advantageous.
* Renewable Energy Sector: While not essential, prior experience in the renewable energy sector would be beneficial.
