Our client is seeking a driven Freight Forwarding Business Development Manager to spearhead growth. This role involves generating new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and closing deals with existing clients.
This is a field-based position, with scheduled office days in Cork.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identifying new business opportunities and driving growth with a focus on Air/Sea services.
2. Building and maintaining relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
3. Progressing potential customers into sales.
4. Developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue.
5. Setting weekly visit targets in agreement with the Sales Manager.
6. Working closely with operations and logistics teams for seamless coordination between sales and service delivery.
7. Maintaining up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions using the company's CRM system.
8. Maintaining high-level customer service and adhering to KWE Ireland values.
9. Conducting market research and analyzing competitors' products, pricing, and market success to identify new opportunities.
Requirements:
1. 2-3 years of proven sales experience in the freight forwarding industry.
2. Strong knowledge of global freight forwarding (Air/Sea).
3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
4. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Excellent time management skills.
6. Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
7. Client account management and building strong customer relationships.
8. A full valid driver's license is required.
