Job Title: Technical Manager
We are seeking a Technical Manager to join our client, a leading supplier of high-quality, sustainable meat products in Co. Meath.
This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday to Friday, days. The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the site.
2. Collaborate with the Site Production Manager to ensure effective implementation of the Food Safety and Quality Management System.
3. Ensure full compliance with DAFM, BRC, MPQAS, and customer-specific requirements.
4. Regularly review and update Food Safety and Quality Management Systems to align with legislative and customer standards.
5. Stay informed about changes in food legislation and emerging food safety risks.
6. Oversee certification and customer audits, ensuring timely completion of corrective action reports.
7. Handle customer complaints by conducting root-cause analyses and implementing corrective measures.
8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Food Safety and Quality Objectives.
9. Foster and promote a strong Food Safety Culture across the site.
10. Mentor and develop the technical team to nurture talent and build expertise.
Requirements:
* Strong experience at Management level within Quality/Technical.
* Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP and Good Manufacturing Procedures.
* A proficient user of computers, i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Good communication skills, ability to work in a team and on own initiative.
* Strong organisational skills giving attention to detail.
