Job Description
This is a 9-12 month contract covering maternity leave.
The successful candidate will ensure the proper and timely movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Air Import department.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
2. Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
3. Track and trace Air Import files as required, either internally via exp.o or externally via airline websites or by telephone to airline offices.
4. Use Tree View on a daily basis.
5. Ensure timely delivery of freight to customers for Import shipments.
6. Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes.
7. Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing.
8. Interact with our customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards.
9. Contribute to maintaining strong relationships with vendors (airlines, trucking companies, and others).
10. Meet compliance at all times to regulations, including internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer's policies/requirements.
11. Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency.
12. Ensure all customers' standard operating procedures are followed and updated in the DLSOP.
13. Meet KPI standards, as per the company's procedures.
14. Oversee communications, ensuring timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external).
15. Meet company standards of 52 hours training per year per employee.
16. Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations while performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Knowledge of Expeditors training and company policies.
* Knowledge of Expeditors services, systems, and procedures.
* IATA Certification (preferred).
