Special Olympics Ireland has one of the strongest Special Olympic programmes worldwide and we are looking for a motivated Campaigns Fundraising Coordinator to join our dedicated and highly ambitious Community and Campaigns Fundraising team.
Summary:
The Campaigns Fundraising Coordinator will be an important member of the Community and Campaigns Fundraising Team working to achieve the organisation’s income targets year on year. Reporting directly to the Fundraising Manager, this role will work closely with the marketing team and community fundraising coordinator to grow campaign fundraising.
This role will require Digital Fundraising Experience working on Fundraising Platforms to develop a streamlined campaign and strong donor journey. Experience with Facebook Fundraisers and Digital advertising is an advantage. We are also seeking experience with stakeholder management across internal departments, relationship management experience, and experience working within a target-orientated environment.
This role will be based at our offices in Sport Ireland Campus, Snugborough Road, Dublin 15, working within a flexible and hybrid working arrangement. The role will require some travel to support some events around the country from time to time. Mileage and expenses are granted in such instances. Hybrid working is available with this role.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 3 years fundraising and/or 3 years digital marketing experience.
* Donor/Client stewardship and cultivation management.
* Experience in segmentation and CRM Systems desirable.
* Experience in Event Management and/or Project Management desirable.
* Understanding of multiple fundraising channels a distinct advantage, Individual Giving, Corporate, Events, and Community.
* A proven ability to successfully embrace and reach targets is highly desirable.
* Excellent organisational and creative skills with the ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to persuade and negotiate with various groups, and inspire support from new and existing donors.
* Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
* A current full clean driving licence and access to a form of transport that enables them to meet the requirements of the post in full is essential.
* Available to meet a requirement to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Work with the Fundraising Manager to help coordinate nationally some of our biggest fundraising campaigns such as Collection Day, Polar Plunge.
* Lead on our Schools and Creche Campaigns.
* Drive collaboration and integration across a number of department products, channels, and areas of fundraising, marketing, and communications. This role will be highly dynamic and involve a hands-on and target-orientated approach across multiple channels.
* Work with Regional Development Officers, Volunteers, and the Corporate team to maximise fundraising opportunities and volunteer recruitment.
* Work within the Community and Campaigns team to ensure the rollout of campaigns nationally.
* Donor and stakeholder management and cultivation to deliver the most financial return for Special Olympics.
* As a member of the Marketing, Communications & Fundraising (MCF) Department, contribute and assist with the planning and development of the Special Olympics’ all-island fundraising programme initiatives to achieve the organisation’s income target.
* Deliver upon individual and team financial and non-financial fundraising targets relating to a series of campaigns and events throughout different stages of the year.
* Assist in developing and implementing marketing and public relations initiatives.
* Work within the MCF department and particularly amongst leadership to achieve fundraising targets, and to promote and maintain brand awareness of Special Olympics Ireland.
* Establish and nurture strong working relationships and communications with Special Olympics Clubs in conjunction and cooperation with other regional staff and volunteers.
* Engage and motivate existing and newly recruited volunteers to help plan and manage the fundraising initiatives in order to meet income targets.
* Record regularly and accurately financial and fundraising data in the CRM system in line with the organisation’s financial processes.
* Apply high standards of organisation and planning in all fundraising and other events so as to maintain and protect the organisation’s reputation and to ensure the opportunity to maximise income is created.
* Participate in cross-functional training as required from time to time.
