On behalf of our Pharmacy Client, we are currently sourcing a Retail Buyer to join their Team. This role is based on site in Limerick but will require travel to their chain of Pharmacies within Co Limerick & Co Clare. This is a fantastic role for an experienced Retail Buyer.
You must have experience in Retail Buying for this role.
The ideal candidate should have:
1. 3+ years retail and purchasing experience.
2. Premium Brand cosmetic, sales or management experience.
3. FMCG, Cosmetic or Pharmacy experience is an advantage.
4. EPOS experience, Microsoft Excel proficiency and strong analytical skills.
5. Ability to understand and utilize financial data and KPI’s.
6. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize their own workload.
7. Strong communicator with the ability to communicate with all levels of the business.
8. Ability to generate ideas and market same.
Main role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Support the store managers of our three High Street Stores with their day-to-day operations.
2. Managing purchase orders and stock control for the premium fragrance and cosmetic houses.
3. Review of stock levels on a weekly basis to formulate orders for suppliers or to arrange transfers between branches, as appropriate.
4. Management of stockholdings, including overstock, out of stock and seasonal variations, with consideration given to minimization of working capital investment, individual store needs and slow moving stock across the group for sundry toiletries.
5. Maximize margin while maintaining competitiveness.
6. EPOS stock file maintenance on an ongoing basis, including; setup of products, suppliers, cost price, selling price and margin (shared duty).
7. Generation and issuing of reports to management, including; sales reports, margin reports, month-end reports, stock holding and ad-hoc reports.
8. Coordinate with suppliers to organize promotional activity, including in-store promotions and Customer Days.
9. Source and coordinate special offers and stock for monthly promotional activity.
10. Coordinate relevant monthly promotional material and communication of in-store promotions to ensure continuity across the group (shared duty).
11. Coordinate with our online Social Media activity and relevant website updates (shared duty).
12. Agree and review Cosmetic Sales targets per store/clerk.
13. Develop close relationships with Suppliers and internal stakeholders such as Management & Finance teams.
14. Effectively communicate to store managers and staff members.
15. Look for efficiencies in existing systems and processes.
16. Keep up to date with trends and competitors in the marketplace.
