Project Manager required to work on a range of building sector projects.
Requirements for the role:
* Diploma in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering OR Level 6 Advanced National Craft Certificate in Plumbing OR Electrical.
* Ideally 5 years + post graduate design experience.
* Ability to lead and deliver project designs with minimal input from Management.
* Demonstrated experience in a client facing role.
* Strong communication and presenting skills.
* Knowledge and experience of current Design Guides, Building Regulations (incl BCAR process) EN Standards.
Job Description:
* Attend Design Team and Client meetings to develop Design Concepts (You will be fully supported
* by our Design Engineers).
* Communicate the brief to our inhouse Designers to develop the Design.
* Attend Mechanical & Electrical Site Co-ordination meetings with Main Contractor and Sub
* Contractors.
* Assist in coordinating mechanical and electrical services on site with other services and the
* building structure.
* Review equipment submittals and approve or reject them.
* Ensure all Drawings are kept up to date throughout the course of the project (with the
* help of our inhouse Designers / CAD / Revit Team).
* Manage & co-ordinate the delivery to site of utilities supplies such as ESB, Gas and
Telecoms.
* Provide technical advice as requested to the Client / Design Team / Sub-Contractors throughout the project.
* Attend site (weekly / fortnightly) during the Construction Program for inspection.
* Works to ensure they are being executed in accordance with our Design and to a high
standard of workmanship.
* Monitor the installation of all parts of the mechanical and electrical works carried out in
connection with the project via site visits and attendance at site meetings.
* On Practical Completion carry out a detailed snag of each site.
* Witness the commissioning of the mechanical and electrical systems carried out in
connection with the project.
* Manage the handover of the As Built Drawings and Documentation.
* Provide documentation to indicate general compliance of design with Building Regulations and other statutory requirements.
* Carry out a review of the Safety File.
