The Business Intelligence Developer & Analyst will report to the Chief Data Architect, working 35 hours a week in Dublin 8. The role is temporary for 82 weeks with an option for hybrid work.
Purpose of the Role
This key position within the Centre for Data & Analytics involves technical responsibility for providing and developing business information, data, and analytics services, including infrastructure support.
Responsibilities
* Data Engineering: Develop ad hoc SQL operational queries, creating reports for end users and managing SQL jobs for the data warehouse.
* Database Administration: Perform database consistency checks, resizing exercises, and raise tickets for adjustments.
* Project Work: Write stored procedures, create tables and views in SQL for Power BI reports, and migrate tabular model reports to Power BI.
* Reporting Services: Create Power BI reports using DAX for end users and provide monthly reports to finance, including income and expenditure updates.
Requirements
* At least three years' experience in an administrative capacity within the Public Sector/Hospital/Health Care environment.
* Minimum three years' experience in database design and development in a large data warehouse environment.
* Strong query language knowledge, especially SQL, MDX, and DAX.
* Highly evolved analytical skills and knowledge of Data Protection/Data confidentiality.
* Relevant third-level qualification specialising in Data Analytics or Data Science.
