Company: Mercer Description: What can you expect: The Business Analyst (BA) will be required to effectively apply technical skills to support the front office Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) investment team (across all regions, segments and asset classes) stakeholders in the articulation of requirements, processes and future workflows.
The individual will be able to hit the ground running, complete an end to end assessment of the current operating model, identify areas of improvements and action those improvements by raising detailed requirements and drive the solution through to full definition.
The individual will also help identify some key metrics and embed those into day to day monitoring for the data team so that it becomes an efficient part of the future business.
This will be a fixed term contract role for an initial 6 month period.
We will rely on you to: We are looking for a Business Analyst or SME in wealth management to join the team and: Improve automation of Data quality checks within a data warehouse.
Improve automation of manual input reports to the data warehouse and automation of reporting from the data warehouse.
Build out a metrics led approach to monitoring and identifying improvements across the OCIO data function.
Consult with development team to ensure requirements are clear and to resolve outstanding questions or issues.
Lead user group meetings and work with stakeholders to assist in prioritizing the backlog.
Assist in the development of product roadmaps.
Work closely in region with business stakeholders to understand how local requirements can map into our broader global solution.
What you need to have: Experience of working with a fund administrator, asset manager or wealth manager is a necessity.
Relevant senior business analysts or SME experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience in performing analysis with vendors, working with investment management stakeholders like portfolio managers, operations, traders, client facing teams.
Sound knowledge of software development methodologies, Agile development, tools, SDLC, and technologies.
Experience performing investment analysis for use in investment decision making.

Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with internal and external clients at all levels.
Experience with cloud-based Data Warehouse/lake platforms, such as AWS data technologies, Databricks, and Snowflake platforms.
Experience in gathering requirements for end User Interface design optimizing the solutions we build internally for end user experience and being thoughtful on how internally built solutions work alongside our vended solutions.
Knowledge of BI tools (e.g.
Qlik) and designing data solutions for ease of use by BI platforms to enable data self-service.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of an OCIO business model.
Ability to apply industry best practices.
Strong ability to document processes, understanding workflows and translating those into requirements.
