CPL Healthcare has partnered with a client providing therapeutic care and support to children in a nurturing home environment. The role of Deputy Home Manager involves managing the home according to its Statement of Purpose and ensuring a safe and caring environment.
Job Requirements
* A qualification in Social Care or relevant at minimum QQI Level 7
* At least 3 years experience working in children's residential care, including 2 years at team leader level
* Flexibility to work shifts if required
* Up-to-date knowledge of legislation surrounding Residential Childcare and Safeguarding
* Experience of multi-disciplinary working with professionals in the industry
* Ability to deliver reports and meet deadlines
* Full driving licence and business insurance
* Flexible approach to meet business needs
Description of the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the children's residential service, ensuring that all residents receive high-quality care and support. This will involve working closely with other members of staff, as well as external agencies and partners, to ensure the delivery of effective care and support.
In addition to managing the home, the Deputy Home Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant childcare legislation, national standards, and policies and procedures. This will involve maintaining accurate records, completing reports, and participating in regular meetings and reviews.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the needs of children and young people, as well as the skills and experience required to manage a residential care service. They will be able to demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
