MEP Commissioning Manager – Dublin – Mission Critical Our client is a €500m turnover, multi-disciplined main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe.
They undertake large turnkey projects for blue-chip clientele, in Europe the focus is on Data Centres and similar tech-focussed projects.
In Ireland they operate as more of a generalist main contractor working across a variety of industry sectors including healthcare / hospitals, residential, education and industrial Due to a recent project win, our client is now seeking a Commissioning Manager in Dublin.
Responsibilities * Commissioning Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive commissioning plan for all MEP systems, ensuring alignment with project objectives, regulatory standards, and operational requirements.
This includes coordinating with other disciplines (structural, civil, etc.)
to align schedules and processes.
* System Testing and Validation: Oversee the testing, balancing, and commissioning of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the data centre.
This involves ensuring that systems such as HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, water supply, and backup systems function as per design specifications.
* Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that all MEP systems meet the necessary industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
Monitor quality control processes to confirm that installations are correct, safe, and meet the design specifications, and that all tests are conducted and documented properly.
* Coordination with Contractors and Stakeholders: Work closely with MEP subcontractors, the design team, and other project stakeholders to coordinate commissioning activities, troubleshoot issues, and resolve any discrepancies during installation and testing phases.
* Training and Handover Documentation: Lead the preparation of documentation required for the handover of commissioned MEP systems, including operation and maintenance manuals, test results, as-built drawings, and training materials.
Ensure that client operations teams are properly trained on system operation and maintenance.
* Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting any issues that arise during the commissioning phase, working to resolve problems promptly and minimizing delays.
This includes identifying root causes of system malfunctions and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Requirements * 3rd Level Building Services/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Trade background * Minimum 5 years plus experience in a site-based MEP Commissioning role * Extensive Commissioning knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems Benefits €90,000 - €100,000 + Benefits
