This role is responsible for providing Food Safety & Quality support at each area of Production; Storage and Transport; including supplier, warehouse, product management, the main duties of this role include, but are not limited to: Implementation, and Management of Food Safety Management Systems in accordance with current legislation, and to prescribed standards (i.e.
FSSC 22000) Co-ordination with Regulatory Authorities (HSE, FSAI) / Legal compliance, including regulatory, 3rd party and customer audits and inspections Management of supplier and product approval protocol Ensure alignment of Management Team with FS&Q objectives Definition and Management of finished product quality Conduct Audits of FSMS compliance and resolve issues with the team To advise on Food Safety training requirements.
Managing the review of food safety training materials to ensure training programmes meet standard requirements Satisfactory resolution of FSQ operational issues and Consumer Complaints Ensuring all customer FSQ and production information requests are completed efficiently Management of site hygiene, and pest control Reporting on FSQ performance against targets Management of the FSQ Team in La Rousse Foods.
Project Work Work on required projects with the FSQ Team to improve and drive the FSQ initiatives within the business.
Representing the FSQ Department across the business, to influence on Food Safety culture.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications: Science/ Food Science Qualification Essential Technical Quality experience HACCP/Food Safety Management systems knowledge Experience in implementing and managing QMS and a good working knowledge of a GFSI standard (e.g., BRC, FSSC 22000 or equivalent) People Management Flexibility, quick learner, problem solver, good communication and good organisational skills.
