Our client is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join them at their manufacturing facility in the Cork region.
This is a permanent position with a starting salary of €75,000 per year, plus benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement Health and Safety policies, procedures, and programs as per company requirements.
* Perform audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
* Foster and instil a strong Health and Safety culture among all employees.
* Oversee daily Health and Safety operations and tasks.
* Regularly review and revise company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, Health & Safety Policies, and Safety Statement.
* Stay informed about legislative updates and implement necessary changes.
* Implement and update EHS control measures as needed.
* Conduct routine inspections and audits of the facility to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, determine root causes, and implement preventive and corrective actions.
* Provide guidance and training on safety procedures to all staff.
* Work closely with management to develop and execute risk management strategies.
* Maintain accurate Health and Safety records and documentation.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum of a recognised Diploma in Health and Safety.
* Minimum of 3 years work experience in Health and Safety.
* Previous experience in manufacturing environments as a Safety Officer is required.
* Experience working in a Health & Safety role in a food manufacturing organisation is highly advantageous.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices.
* Strong IT and document management skills.
* Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
