Key Responsibilities
Front-End Engineering:
* Contribute to projects from a technical design and implementation perspective, including vendor management, client engagement, and project planning
* Develop Front-End Studies and Basis-of-Design documentation
* Create Scope of Work, User Requirements Specifications, System Architectures, and Functional Specifications
* Review vendor proposals and participate in Technical Bid Analysis
Technical Consultancy:
* Generate obsolescence reports and lifecycle plans for automation systems
* Conduct data security and data integrity assessments
* Assist in system architecture design, collaborating with technical consultants
System Integration:
* Track and report on the design and configuration of Process Control Systems
* Support testing, commissioning, and qualification of automation systems
Project Support:
* Develop and manage budgets, scope, schedules, and quality for automation projects
* Provide financial and earned value reporting
* Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure project alignment with client needs
Qualifications & Experience
* 3+ years of experience in automation systems engineering within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences manufacturing
* Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients
* Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Rockwell, Siemens S7, and/or Emerson DeltaV
* Knowledge of GMP, GAMP, and regulatory requirements related to automation in life sciences
* Ability to work autonomously across various technologies and project lifecycles
Additional Information:
* Occasional travel to client sites for project scoping, implementation, and reporting meetings
