The Role
In your role as a Lead Cyber Security Developer, you’ll be responsible for the cyber security of in-vehicle services, leading a team responsible for on-board cyber security throughout the lifecycle of new vehicles, new security feature design, reviewing security concepts and designs, and liaising with third parties to create and review cyber security standards. You’ll design, develop and implement security solutions and practices for real-world deployment, documenting and organizing information to create clear and concise insights into cyber security operations.
You’ll deliver cyber security concepts and requirements for new and existing vehicle electronic architecture, on a broad spectrum of in-vehicle products and services. Providing technical expertise for system architecture development focused on cyber security using Agile methodologies. Delivery of UNECE R155 and ISO 21434 related work products. Developing security standards, systems and solutions to be deployed in a worldwide arena. Representing the Cyber Security Architecture Team when engaging with other Engineering Teams. Engaging and leading technical discussions with automotive suppliers. Coaching, mentoring and supporting other engineers in the team.
Skills/Experience Needed:
Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or similar. Or BTEC HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, coupled with extensive related experience in product development areas such as product engineering, embedded systems development, Cyber Security design or related subjects. Good foundation in Cyber Security Fundamentals (Risk Assessment, Cryptography, Security Protocols).
Experience conceptualizing, defining, and implementing security systems and architectures. Experience with Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment processes for product development. Experience with Requirements Management and managing Stakeholders. Strong technical, communication and analytical skills.
Good to have:
CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO 27001 or similar certification. Good knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) main components, including sensors (Radar, Lidar, Cameras), SAE Levels of Driving Automation. Track record with embedded system Cyber Security architecture design. Knowledge of in-vehicle communication protocols (e.g. CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
Experience with Communication Security protocols, automotive software development (AutoSAR, QNX etc). Good knowledge with Project Management tools (Waterfall Agile). Experience using low-level programming languages (C/C++). Cyber Security experience and/or qualifications in equivalent areas (Rail, Automotive, Industrial control, Operational Technology, Embedded Systems).
