We are seeking a Senior Energy Strategist to play a pivotal role in shaping the long-term energy strategy and portfolio construction.
This position involves modelling energy markets, assessing emerging technologies, and influencing stakeholders to drive the successful implementation of our strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities: Develop long-term market scenarios and assess their impact on our portfolio.
Update existing models and challenge the status quo to refine or replace current strategies.
Evaluate emerging low- and zero-carbon generation technologies and their potential integration into the wider business.
Understand competitive drivers and their impact on our business. Track portfolio performance and report on progress against our sustainability goals.
Lead projects and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop positions on technical and policy-related topics. Engage with external stakeholders and industry bodies to advocate for policies that align with our Net Zero strategy.
Ensure consistency in messaging and alignment between strategies across business units.
Qualifications and Skills: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the energy sector.
Comprehensive understanding of the energy market and regulatory environment in Ireland, the UK, and the EU.
Strong modelling and analytical capabilities, with a solid grasp of financial and commercial acumen.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence key decision-makers.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
