Senior Project Manager – Building Energy Performance & Systems

About the Company
We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager with extensive building Energy Performance (BER) experience for a range of projects across Ireland. This role can be based in Dublin, Cork, Dundalk or Sligo.
This is an opportunity to work on some of the most exciting energy-related projects in Ireland. This client is leading the way in reducing carbon footprints across the country and is making huge efforts to ascertain carbon natural status for small and large energy consumers in Ireland. The BER function is integral to Ireland meeting its EU directive goals for 2030.
About the Position
The senior project manager will plan, develop and integrate a robust energy management system that will enable buildings to strive for net zero carbon usage. The role will focus on managing energy efficiency improvements and working with a team in this area to develop the strategy for BER calculation and reduction. You will evaluate energy and utility usage and implement policies, changes, and projects to achieve carbon reduction targets. Working closely with the IT, engineering, asset management and building services teams, you will identify energy reduction opportunities to help realize utility and carbon savings to assist with Ireland’s 2030 climate targets. This role has a strategic link to Europe.
Experience/Requirements
Within this role, you will be involved in:
* Policy Development in the area of Energy Management and Calculation
* Energy Efficiency Management
* IT integration related to Energy Management
* Develop and implement an embodied carbon building rating calculation methodology, taking account of the requirements of Construction Products Regulation and the EPBD.
* Work with the Building Energy Rating methodology and software teams to integrate GWP into Building Energy Rating certificates.
* Alternative Policy Measures.
* Play a key role in the definition and implementation of enhancements
and changes to the BER programme IT and business systems.
* Support the team across the implementation of these policies.
* Educate clients on best practices in the industry.
* Represent the client at industry events as an expert in energy management.
* Support the QMS in relation to energy.
* Work and support the onsite teams from a technical perspective.
For this role, you are required to have:
* A minimum of 5 years experience in energy management.
* Knowledge of relevant standards, e.g., Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, Construction Products Regulation, IS.EN. 15978, ISO 14044, ISO 14067, PAS 2080, CIBSE TM65, etc.
* Experience in project management.
* Health & Safety experience.
* Full clean driving license.
* Ideally, you will be PMP certified.
