Job Title: Executive Compliance Officer (Mid-Level) Location: Remote Department: Legal & Compliance Reports To: Project Manager The Role: We're looking for a Compliance Officer to join our expanding team.
This is a mid-level role where you'll be the driving force behind building and maintaining our compliance framework across multiple regions.
You'll be responsible for creating key policies including privacy policies and terms & conditions, ensuring we're meeting legal and regulatory standards across all our markets.
What You'll Be Doing: Building Our Compliance Program: You'll design, implement, and maintain compliance strategies that align with privacy, data protection, and regulatory requirements across the different regions we work in.
This includes crafting policies such as privacy policies, terms & conditions, and user agreements that fit the specific needs of each market.
Staying Ahead of Regulations: You'll keep an eye on global and regional regulatory changes, especially around privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA.
You'll work to ensure that our company stays ahead of these changes and that our policies are always up-to-date with the latest regulations.
Supporting Our Teams Across Regions: You'll ensure our compliance policies work seamlessly across the GCC, UK, US, and LATAM markets, providing guidance to our internal teams in sales, marketing, IT, and other departments.
You'll also collaborate with external legal advisors when necessary to make sure we're in line with local laws and regulations.
Training and Raising Awareness: You'll create and run compliance training programs to help our team members understand the importance of privacy, data protection, and compliance policies.
You'll be at the forefront of building a company-wide culture that values integrity and ethical practices.
Managing Audits and Documentation: Leading internal audits and documenting compliance efforts will be a key part of your role.
You'll track the progress of our compliance initiatives and ensure we have a solid record of any audits or actions taken to improve compliance.
What We're Looking For: Education: A Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or something related.
If you have a master's or certifications like CCEP, CISA, or IAPP, that's a plus Experience: You've got at least 4-6 years of experience working in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role, particularly around privacy and data protection.
If you've worked across multiple regions, especially the GCC, UK, US, and LATAM, even better You should also be comfortable with drafting compliance-related documents like terms & conditions and privacy policies.
Skills & Expertise: You should have a deep understanding of privacy regulations (think GDPR, CCPA, etc.), as well as the ability to stay on top of evolving legal landscapes.
If you're familiar with compliance management software, great You'll also need to be able to translate complex legal language into clear, actionable steps for the team.
Soft Skills: Attention to detail is key, as well as the ability to stay organized and work independently.
You should be a clear communicator who can work well across different teams, making sure everyone understands their role in maintaining compliance.
