Finance Director
We are a growing pharmaceutical company in Dublin City Centre seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven and strategically focused Finance Director to join our finance team. The successful candidate will oversee the company's financial operations, risk management, budgeting, forecasting and reporting ensuring compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS), stock exchange listing rules.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting, Compliance & Risk Management:
o Evaluate and maintain a robust framework for IFRS reporting, including policies, procedures, and training for the finance team.
o Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, ensuring seamless coordination during audits and timely resolution of findings.
o Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
o Actively manage the company's risk exposure in partnership with the CFO.
* Accounting Consolidation:
o Oversee end-to-end consolidation process for multiple international entities, integrating diverse accounting practices into a unified framework.
o Ensure compliance with local requirements (Italy, Ireland) in line with IFRS standards.
* Strategic FP&A Leadership and Business Partners:
o Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes across the company.
o Develop, establish and maintain monthly and quarterly business reporting at functional and business unit level.
* Team Leadership & Development:
o Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, ensuring alignment with the company goals.
The Person:
* Qualified Accountant with 10+ years in finance leadership roles, with substantial experience in IFRS reporting and international consolidations, preferably within multinational or fast-growing organizations.
* Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent (European CPA designations advantageous).
Requirements:
* Demonstrated success in FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
* Deep understanding of regulatory environments, tax laws, and corporate governance frameworks.
* Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion), expertise in financial software, FP&A reporting tools, and advanced Excel.
* Advanced knowledge of IFRS, with an ability to apply complex standards in a practical manner.
What We Offer:
* Salary: €120k - €150k depending on experience plus benefits.
