Reporting to the owner of On the Spot Detailing and working hand in hand with On the Spot's client Dent Wizard, the Operations Coordinator supervises the daily activities of a team of Detailers, Supervisors, and administration staff to ensure the Detail Services run smoothly and efficiently.
Foster and maintain working relationships with customers and vendors.
Ensure all equipment is maintained effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as Subject Matter Expert to support management/detailer development, goal-setting implementation, and performance improvement plans.Support management in identifying and focusing on employee retention and technical skill improvements.Understand and effectively communicate overall auction/client goals and performance metrics, while focusing on the employee's role and accountability in the achievement of those goals.Foster relationships with managers and employees to drive open lines of communication.Work with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure all equipment is maintained and serviced correctly to reduce or eliminate downtime and ensure appropriate supply levels are maintained.Communicate weekly with Senior Management regarding progress, challenges, and team developmental needs.Implement and maintain supply cost control measures.Ensure all billing is done accurately.Manage employee overtime.Audit monthly revenue and expenditure reports ensuring their accuracy.Minimum Qualifications: Proven track record of setting and achieving goals.Demonstrated ability to be a role model to employees with regard to professional behavior, demeanor, and appearance.Must demonstrate attention to detail, focus, commitment, and resourcefulness.Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.Strong organization and follow-through skills; sales and business development skills.Ability to motivate others and impart the concept of continuous (ongoing) improvement to employees at all points on the performance continuum.Ability to objectively and accurately evaluate the performance and skills of Detailers, Supervisors, and Admins and provide constructive feedback.Bi-lingual (Spanish-English).Work Experience:
The successful candidate will ideally have 2 years of experience in several of the following areas:
Management of a labor-intensive light industrial business with a skilled manual workforce.Management of multiple shifts.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, and digital media generally.Setting and achieving revenue and expenditure budgets.Experience as an Automotive Dealer Service Advisor/Manager or Management of Auction Operations is a plus.
