**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to join Central Chemical Supplies Ltd. (CCS) in Donaghcloney.
The ideal candidate will have experience in quality control, compliance, and product development with a background in chemistry or a related field.
This is a full-time permanent position offering a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, plus a free annual health check and opportunities for growth and development within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Quality Control:
o Collect and analyze samples, record results, and ensure product quality throughout all stages.
o Guarantee traceability for all products by recording batch numbers, printing haz-chem labels, and completing certificates of analysis.
o Conduct supplier assessments and regular reviews of internal and external processes and QC documentation.
* Compliance:
o Ensure CCS adheres to relevant legislation, including REACH, CLP, BPR, and Tied Oils.
o Generate Safety Data Sheets, develop haz-chem labels, and apply biocidal product regulations.
o Collaborate with the operations director to review and update Health and Safety policies.
* Product Development:
o Work with the sales team and management to prioritize new product developments.
o Plan and manage the full life cycle of product development from concept to market launch.
o Review market trends and report back to the sales team and management.
* General:
o Manage laboratory staff, attend monthly management meetings, and work closely with other managers to aid planning and customer service.
o Maintain laboratory cleanliness and equipment organization.
o Oversee stock levels, prepare samples for customers, and assist with chemical plant operation.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
* At least 3 years of practical laboratory experience.
* Good IT skills and previous experience in a management role.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
* Experience dealing with chemical regulatory matters and formulation chemistry.
