Project Manager - Healthcare
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established public healthcare organisation with bases throughout the country. As a Project Manager, you will be based in an office just outside of Cork City Centre.
About the Role:
* Manage the preparation of comprehensive project briefs in consultation with organisational service personnel and advisors.
* Ensure that project briefs are known and understood by all relevant parties in appropriate detail.
* Manage necessary consultation processes, meetings, and activities for satisfactory completion of projects.
* Comply with regulatory requirements, including permissions, licences, certificates, and approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as senior administrative officer for project management, resolving issues and agreeing solutions.
* Define requirements for design services, buildings, and equipment.
* Advise on selection of Design Teams, professional services, and Contractors for Projects.
* Arrange and manage procurement processes.
* Prepare specifications, drawings, and contract documents for projects.
* Obtain approval for proposals in accordance with organisation protocols and regulations.
* Develop action plans for timely and efficient completion of contracts.
* Coordinate tender and control stages of projects, liaising with design teams, site staff, and hospital personnel.
* Supervise staff and contractors in implementation of agreed programmes.
* Work with service management and ancillary services to establish equipping/commissioning teams.
Requirements:
* Hold a Level 8 (or higher) Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) major academic award in Architecture, Engineering, or Surveying accredited by the relevant Professional Institute.
* Alternatively, have Full Membership of the relevant professional association or hold a qualification equivalent to one of the above listed.
* Have at least seven years' satisfactory and relevant experience in planning, design, project management, or construction of buildings.
