The Role
We are looking for a passionate, determined and talented Power BI specialist to join our growing team in a dynamic and ambitious environment.
Your key areas of responsibility will be:
* Work alongside key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver reports, dashboards and visualisations using Power BI.
* Enhance and improve existing reports and dashboards.
* Develop a full understanding of relevant data and the business processes that generate it.
* Evaluate and document business requirements, ensuring that the proposed solutions are reconciled with all business inputs.
* Gather business requirements using interviews, workshops, documentation reviews, business analysis and business process evaluations.
* Understand, validate and test business requirements with the available data.
* Document, design and build impactful and easily adopted dashboards.
* Establish standards and principles for the design of high-value Dashboards and Visualisations.
* Provide technical recommendations and direction on the development and implementation of reports & dashboards in adherence with the standards.
* Utilise data, visualisations and Power BI dashboard capabilities to deliver effective and compelling enterprise quality reporting outputs.
* Communicate complex data insights in a clear and compelling way, using visualisation, charts, and other storytelling techniques.
* Continuously monitor and improve the performance of Power BI solutions.
* Keep up-to-date with new features and updates in Power BI and related technologies.
* Stay informed about the latest data visualisation and storytelling techniques and tools.
About You
To succeed in this role you should have:
* A degree-level education (or equivalent).
* Minimum 3 years experience in delivery of Business Intelligence reporting, dashboards and visualisations using Power BI.
* An understanding of SQL and data warehousing.
* Hands-on experience working with enterprise database technologies including some of the following: Snowflake, SQL Server, Teradata, and Oracle.
* Effective communication skills, both spoken and written.
* Demonstrated experience in gathering requirements and converting them into high-impact and practical dashboards.
* Strong planning and organisation skills, ability to plan and prioritise work schedules and work within agreed timescales.
* Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
* A strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
* Oustanding communication and interpersonal abilities with a specific ability to express ideas clearly and concisely - verbally and in writing – with a view to engaging and influencing.
* Minimum 2 years experience working with Cloud Modern Data Platforms.
* Demonstrated previous Consulting experience at a consulting or professional services firm is a distinct advantage.
