Position: Meeting & Events Executive (Full Time, Permanent)

Osprey Hotel is looking for a Meeting & Events Executive to become part of our wonderful team.
Our Hotel
The Osprey Hotel, located in Naas, Co. Kildare, is just 35 minutes from Dublin City and close to all major routes. The Hotel comprises the four-star contemporary styled 108 bedroom Osprey Hotel, Spa, Conference Centre, Business Campus, Osprey Leisure, and the Herald & Devoy Restaurant. Our state-of-the-art spa has recently opened, designed by leading architect Hugh Wallace. The gorgeous new spa includes 6 individual treatment rooms, a couples' treatment room, light and dark relaxation rooms, nail bar, 3 pedicure stations, and dedicated beauty rooms for waxing, tinting, and tanning.
Your New Role
As Meeting and Events Executive, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all meetings and events, as well as working to achieve further business in conjunction with the hotel sales team. The role will be a combination of both administration and operations. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused and standards-driven. They will be reliable, organized, a good team player, and have a natural flair and enthusiasm for dealing with and communicating with people. Exceptional attention to detail is essential, as well as the ability to work on your own initiative.
Duties include:
* To enthusiastically sell all meeting and event services as well as all products and services provided by the hotel.
* To be the first point of contact for all enquiries via telephone, e-mail, and social media and to respond to all enquiries in a timely manner.
* Assist and manage the availability and coordination of the hotel function diary within the strategy of the hotel.
* To be proactive and use your initiative in generating sales.
* Arrange and conduct show-arounds.
* To manage and coordinate all meetings and events in the hotel, from enquiry stage through to the event.
* Deliver a high level of service in all meetings and events.
* Carry out daily walks of the Conference Centre & Event spaces to ensure all is of the highest standards.
* To assist with all event planning day to day, but also monthly and quarterly, ensuring that full equipment and staffing levels are as required in conjunction with the hotel Food & Beverage team.
* Monitoring all details on function sheets to ensure accuracy and clarity for the proper execution of all events.
* Preparing and updating menus, floor plans, and table plans for all functions.
* Following up on any provisional bookings that have been made.
* Liaising with Reception regarding accommodation bookings for Conferences.
The nature of this role will involve some evening and weekend work.
