Supply Chain & Retail
Supply Chain Services provides both pre-wholesale and wholesale distribution of pharmaceutical, healthcare and animal health products to pharmacies and hospital nationwide. The business supports a diverse customer base through the provision of strong service levels coupled with innovative commercial initiatives. In addition, the business provides services and supports that help independent community pharmacy to compete more effectively in an increasingly difficult environment and runs a network of Uniphar-owned pharmacies under the Life, Allcare, McCauleys and Hickeys symbol brands.
Pharma – On Demand
The On-Demand business is a specialist medical supply business that sources and distributes pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and consumable supplies to healthcare professionals in over 160 countries worldwide. We have offices in Ireland, UK, Europe, USA and New Zealand. The company’s main divisions encompass everything from International Sales through Sales to NGO’s and Charities, Clinical Trials Supply, Imported (Unlicensed Medicines), Sexual Health Supplies, and the storage and distribution of medical products and devices for third parties .

Job Purpose
As Reward Specialist you will be reporting to the Total Rewards Manager, the successful candidate will deliver on both business-as-usual objectives and a range of key Reward projects, ensuring that Reward & Benefits policies and practices are in line with the Company’s strategy and best market practice. This is a key role within the Total Rewards Team who are responsible for the design and delivery of differentiated best practice Reward solutions. The role will work across variety of areas including Compensation, Recognition, Pensions and Benefits across the Uniphar Group. The Total Reward Team plays a key role in enabling the organisation to attract, engage and retain high calibre talent in the market and is part of the Uniphar Group HR Team.
Key Accountabilities
• As part of the Reward Strategy, contribute to the design and implementation of the Total Reward strategy, policies, programmes and processes
• In conjunction with the Total Reward Manager, administer the Annual Reward Review process in accordance with Uniphar’s overall Reward Strategy and Divisional business requirements (incl. Salary, short-term and long-term incentives)
• Develop, maintain and execute the Reward Annual Plan and Calendar (salary and benefits reviews, recognition schemes, bonus/incentive and share awards)
• In terms of Delivery Excellence, ensure the delivery of Reward services to agreed time, cost and quality standards
• Coach and support HRBPs and Line Managers to enhance their understanding and their support of the Reward policies and agenda
• Continuously review and enhance relevant policy and process documentation to facilitate effective delivery of Reward services to the business
• Perform assigned reward benchmarking activities (including salary & benefit surveys, salary positioning) to agreed quality standards
• Manage the benefit enrolment process with the Uniphar Divisions, and ensure accuracy for Payroll processing in order to deliver the highest quality of service to our employees
• Analysis and Insights is a key responsibility including Identifying emerging needs of the business and provide insights and recommendations to deliver solutions through the Reward Team
• Champion the effective use of Reward as a strategic business and people tool across the organisation
Dimensions of the Role include:

• Administer Annual Compensation Pay cycles
• Multiple ranges of both cash and non-cash benefits across the Group within each market
• Multiple pay schemes across the Group
Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills
The successful candidate will have very strong analytical and numerical skills, with experience of interpreting and producing high-quality, accurate management information. They will have at least 3 years’ experience as a Reward professional in a large organisation, or in a reward consulting capacity.
Above all, they must have a positive, can-do attitude and an enthusiasm to learn and adapt on the job.
In addition, the successful candidate should possess:
1. Strong operational understanding of Total Reward policies and programmes
2. Excellent analytical, communications and stakeholder management skills
3. Passion for using your expertise to develop innovative solutions that add value to the business
4. A continuous improvement mind set, driven to deliver best practice
5. Experience of Job Evaluation -- (WTW GGS desirable)
6. Ability to complete and interpret Reward Surveys
7. Experience in Vendor Management and Benefit administration
